SCHOLARIS ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Through a thoughtful and comprehensive screening process, the Admissions Committee is able to offer a limited number of seats to applicants that would benefit from the program. Scholaris' admissions process is intentionally thorough because we understand that it is a very serious decision to take children out of the mainstream and enroll them in an alternative micro-school.

Criteria for admissions

  • Average to superior intellectual potential

  • No behavioral or emotional problems that would interfere with the instructional program

STEP 1

Informational Call

STEP 2

Submit an application

STEP 3

After the application file is submitted, the Admissions Committee will review it.

STEP 4

Some applicants will be invited to visit the School to attend classes and meet with a learning specialist.

STEP 5

The Admissions Committee will review the data within two weeks of the screening and invite the student to shadow a class for the day.

STEP 6

Findings and recommendations are discussed at a parent/guardian conference.

  • If admission is recommended, a contract is sent.

  • If enrollment is not recommended, suggestions for other options are discussed at the parent/guardian conference.
